An editor checks every storm report against its sources before it goes up. Until one is published, the snowfall page lists each estimated snowfall, and the dashboard shows what was recorded afterward.
How storm reports work
A report is drafted for each snowfall estimated at 5 cm or more. It brings together the snow-depth estimate, Environment Canada's alerts, the RMWB's statements and notices, and the records published in the two weeks after. Drafts stay private until an editor has checked every figure and quote against its source. Corrections are listed on the report. Methodology
